Barry K. Douglas, MD, FACS
Dr. Barry K. Douglas is an expert in breast reconstruction and has been with LIPSG since 1991. He earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and completed his residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He has also completed residencies inMicrovascular Surgery and Plastic Surgeryat Mount Sinai, and later served as Chief Resident at that hospital. He is a prolific Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeryteacher and lecturer, having held positions with Mount Sinai Hospital, SUNY at Stony Brook, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Douglas is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatricians, and holds membership with some of the most prestigious medical organizations in the world.
