About LIPSG

As the largest private academic plastic surgical practice in the nation, the surgeons at Long Island Plastic Surgical Group have more than 200 years combined experience as leaders and innovators in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. LIPSG partners are some of the most experienced and skilled plastic surgeons in the United States, many of whom have been trained and educated at prestigious medical institutions such as Duke Medical Center, Yale University, Harvard, the Gloucester Royal Hospital in Gloucester, England, and Boston University Hospital. Many have gone on to pursue specialty or fellowship training at world-renowned medical facilities such as Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Long Island Plastic Surgical Group also operates a unique Plastic Surgery Residency Program that trains the surgeons of tomorrow in the latest plastic and reconstructive surgery techniques. Our doctors are dedicated to giving their time and expertise to impoverished areas across the globe by participating in volunteer missions to provide needed medical care

A practice that has been in operation longer than any other plastic surgery facility in the United States, LIPSG has established relationships with many of the major hospitals in the Long Island and New York City region. Throughout our 60 year history, LIPSG has developed the Burn Center at Nassau University Medical Center, the nationally recognized Center for Facial Paralysis, the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center at North Shore University Hospital Manhasset Campus, and the new Breast Reconstruction Surgery Center, all of which provide specialized care from experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeons.

The Long Island Plastic Surgical Group operates its own fully equipped surgical suites that are certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF), signifying our commitment to only the highest standards of safety. LIPSG operates nine Centers of Excellence within our practice: Facial Reanimation and Peripheral Nerve Repair; Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery; Burns and Complex Wound Management; Microsurgery and Hand Reconstruction; Breast and Body Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery; Facial Rejuvenation; Post Weight-Loss Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery; and Skin Care and Age Management.
